Volcano Classic Dry Herb Vapouriser by Storz & Bickel started the ‘Volcano’ class of dry herb vapourisers with the use of a balloon filled with vapour to dry herb vape with. The Storz & Bickel Volcano Classic Dry Herb Vaporizer is as its name suggests – a classic – with super-simple analogue buttons and a dial to set your temperature (up to 226ºC). Your Volcano Classic heats up in three to four minutes after which you can load the large filling chamber full of dry herb and a balloon, ready to switch the ‘Air’ button on and begin making smooth, pure, flavourful vapour.

That’s right! With a big 20cm body comes great power responsibility and the Storz & Bickel Volcano Classic Hot Air Generator lives up to that. You simply plug your Volcano Classic into a wall socket and it’s ready to heat up. One thing you can count on is that it won’t run out of battery in the middle of a dry herb vaping session… Unless there's a black out... Dry herb vape for longer with the Volcano Classic Vapouriser and its awesome features, including:

Modern, bold, onyx black body – scratch resistant black powder coating gives the Volcano Classic its modern look and black volcanic rock appearance.
Three to four minute heat-up time – although it’s not lightning-quick like its upgraded brother, the Volcano Hybrid which takes 40 seconds, you’re still dry herb vaping in less than five minutes for longer than you would with a portable vapouriser.
Control light indicator – once your Volcano Classic reaches the set temperature, the ‘Control’ light between the two switches will turn off so you know you’re good to go.
Easy analogue buttons and dials – if all the touch screen technology and menus boggles your mind, you won’t have to worry about that with the Volcano Classic’s:
- On/off switch – flick to turn off or on and you must remember to turn it off as it has no automatic shut off.
- Temperature dial – rotate the dial to your desired temperature between 130ºC and 226ºC, represented with numbers – 1 to 9 respectively.
- Air on/off switch – once your Volcano Classic is at the desired temperature and you’ve loaded your filling chamber and balloon, switch the air on and then off when your balloon is filled with vapour.
Superb flavour and vapour quality – the convection heating only heats the air around your dry herb which avoids burning or harsh throat hits. It ensures your dry herb material is heated evenly which produces pure, smooth and flavourful vapour.
Durable build – the Germans know what they’re doing when it comes to hand-assembling Volcano Vapourisers. You can expect your Volcano Classic to last you a very long time if you maintain it well.
Vape with a balloon (not a latex party balloon) – a food-grade plastic Easy Valve Balloon is used which fills up with vapour and keeps the vapour in until your mouth pushes the mouthpiece in.
Keeps the air clean – a small air filter at the bottom of your Volcano Classic, under a screwed lid, ensures the air generated is clean. Replace the Storz & Bickel Air Filters when they get dirty to keep the air you’re vaping clean.
Long vaping sessions – large filling chamber in comparison to portable dry herb vapes lets you have longer sessions before having to shut off the device. Just note these usage tips:
- Filling chamber should be removed as soon as your session is over to avoid over heating of the plastic filling chamber house but be careful when removing as the chamber gets super hot.
- It’s recommended that you do not over-fill the chamber with dry herb so that it can be heated evenly.
- Clean any debris from the top of your Volcano Classic and your filling chamber after each vaping session.

The Storz & Bickel Volcano Classic Dry Herb Vapouriser is not something you can carry in your pocket but it does allow you to have control of your vaping temperature, amount of dry herb you use (for example for vaping less, you can switch to a Dosing Capsule Filling Chamber) and it does it very well. It’s also not a vapouriser that you’ll need to replace any time soon so definitely worth it if a desktop vapouriser is what you’re after.
